Nike SB Dunk – Heaven’s Gate were heavily criticized for the background story of the model.
Because of the negative association between the shoe and the Heaven’s Gate Cult Tragedy in 1997 many Nike fans were not able to get them.
However, Nike SB will has released a very similar model to the unlucky Heaven’s Gate Dunk. This new one has naturally been given the name “Un-Heaven’s Gate” and that’s how the story goes.
Todd Jordan, Nike SB Skater, designed the shoe dubbed the “Heaven’s Gate SB Dunk High.” In interviews Jordan spoke of his inspiration for the shoes’ colorway and design style.
This shoe features Dark Obsidian and Metallic Platinum colors, and unlike regular Dunks it has a Zoom Air insole.
