Not many people know today that the man for whom Lacoste is named had a major impact on the evolution of tennis? Rene Lacoste invented the steel tennis raquet back in 1963, and from then until aluminum designs appeared, the steel racket won nearly 50 grand slam titles. Rocking hightops and lowtops with metallic mesh and matte silver leather, these kicks have an look resembling wooden raquets in their use of brown leather accents. The style comes out in July.
